Black Plums + Espresso Cups
This post is for the dreamers. The ones brave enough to follow that quiet inner pull toward something creative, something more.
In particular, this one is for Madeline.
A truly multifaceted artist, Madeline moves effortlessly between ceramics, fine art, drawing, permanent jewellery and her striking black glass pieces, some of which have found homes in galleries across the world (and in my house). With Melbourne calling, she’s taking a bold step to follow that creative path, and I couldn’t admire it more.
So, in honour of Madeline and the beauty of creating with intention, I’ve plated up a bowl of Remedy’s Omega Porridge with delicate plum swirls. A small, edible expression of artistry in its own right.
SERVINGS: 2 Generous servings!
COOKING TIME: 5 Minutes
PREP TIME: 10 Minutes
TOTAL TIME: 15 Minutes
Ingredients
Porridge
1 cup Remedy Omega Porridge
2 cups almond milk
2 tbsp coconut yogurt
Toppings
½ cup granola
¼ cup hazelnuts
2 black plums, wash and sliced
2 tbsp Raspberry Chia Jam
2 tbsp freeze dried broken raspberries from The Peel Thing
Method
Step 1,
Place Omega porridge and almond milk into a small saucepan. Stir constantly on a medium to low heat until you have your desired consistency. Remove from the heat, add the coconut yoghurt and stir well. Divide between two bowls.
Step 2,
Add the granola, plums, raspberry chia jam, hazelnuts and freeze dried broken raspberries.
When we take the time to prepare and present our food with care, it becomes more than nourishment. It becomes a quiet act of respect for the body that carries us through it all.
