PREP TIME: 10 Minutes

TOTAL TIME: 15 Minutes

Ingredients

Bircher Muesli

  • 1 cup Remedy Porridge Oats, Milled Oat or Omega

  • 1 cup coconut yoghurt

  • ½ cup water or juice, pear or apple

  • ¼ cup currants

  • 1 large or 2 small pears, grated

Toppings

  • Poached pears

  • ¼ cup granola

  • 2 tablespoons slivered almonds

  • 1 tablespoon currents, to garnish

  • a dusting of cinnamon

  • a splash of maple syrup

Method

Step 1,

Place Omega porridge, coconut yoghurt, water or juice and currents in an airtight container, mix well and store in the fridge overnight. The next morning, grate the pear and mix through the bircher muesli. Divide between the bowls.

Step 2,

Top with granola, slivered almonds, poached pears, currents, cinnamon and maple syrup.

Time saving tip.

Poached pears can always be prepared ahead of time, on the weekend or the night before. Poaching is also a wonderful way to make the most of fruit before it spoils. ZERO WASTE is music to my ears! The poaching liquid should never be poured away as this is what you store your pears in until they are served.
